DETAILS

At the University Mozarteum Salzburg campus at Kurgarten in Salzburg, the existing architecture was enhanced with a newly developed metal surface. The aim was to create a materiality that reflects the character of the building while integrating seamlessly into its cultural surroundings.

ZinCuTec developed a project-specific surface solution, precisely calibrating tonality, depth, and light reflection to align with the architectural language. Approximately 300 square meters were manufactured under extreme time pressure. Components were continuously collected and installed immediately, allowing production and installation to proceed in parallel.

Despite the accelerated schedule, the precisely controlled finishing process resulted in a calm, homogeneous material appearance. The surfaces make a significant contribution to the project’s overall design quality and demonstrate how precision, flexibility, and architectural sensitivity can lead to compelling results—even under demanding conditions.
